Microsoft has updated the Microsoft homepage with a new background and rounded corners, it looks very good now.

What's your thoughts on it?

It does look nice... It reminds me of the web2.0 styles for some reason, and as microsoft are trying to jump on the bandwagone a few years to late Still, it's a cool design. The advert holder (the one displaying the mcain story in the screenshot) however seems to be way to close the the left tbh. Maybe a simple 10px margin between the left edge and advert would've been a bit nicer.

Yeh, That's what I'm surprised at too, there doesn't seem to be any layout problems at all.

Now if only MS could do something similar (aka decent) with MSN and Windows Live ...
