Full Version: eBuddy mobile beta help

First of all i am extremely sorry if i am typing about my problem on a wrong section , i wanted to ask this one the official ebuddy website but for some reason i cannot register there maybe due to a technical fault to the website. So im wondering if anyone here can help me with my suggestion , i have downloaded the ebuddy mobile messenger on my phone like two day's ago version 0.9.0 if i am right well the latest one i imagine , so i sign in with my email i start chatting but after few minutes it will sign me out saying Service Connection Lost , may i know if it's the phone or ebuddy beta version? i use Samsung E900 please help me on this it would be appreciated thanks alot.:d

this is how i have done my settings incase it is my phone:

i go to ebuddy right click then Settings - it is set as T-Mobile MMS i then click option then Edit

Profile name: T-mobile MMS

Homepage url : http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002

proxy is ticked

ip address 149.254.201.135

port : 8080

DNS is not checked

Bearer GPRS

Advance Settings : APN , General.t-mobile.co.uk

Login ID : t-mobile
password: *** is like that but i dunno what it is


so that's how it is set as i have older version of ebuddy that works fine for me the newer one is what im having problem with , sorry for a long typing just need some advice here :)

do you think im havinh these problems becuase it is Beta version only? and may i know when the full version is due to release. Thanks(Y)

Does this problem happen all the time or has it only happened once?

As far as I know they are planning to release a new (beta) version soon
it happens all the time mate currently using older ebuddy version that works fine , but the beta one after 5 minutes or so will say service connection lost :( i dunno why.
Well the older one is web-based so is through your mobile's browser but the new one is a separate application so works completely differently.

The error message you are receiving is probably from your phone not eBuddy, and as I don't know why your phone would be saying it or how to configure your connection settings I'm afraid I can't help.

Try looking here for more help which is probably related to your problem or, if that doesn't help you, then look here.
cool i changed the settings so i will see if it has improved anything or not and thanks by the way i have my ebuddy beta on my Application menu if that's where it suppose to be.
Dear me saying Server connection lost , hmm i dunno what it is with this i prefer the beta one rather then using the older version but i guess it's not gonna work for me , and it's not that i cannot connect yes i can and i do chat for a bit but it just brings up the error message all of sudden.:(
A person who uses Samsung E900 can help configuring my problem becuase if there not having this problem then atleast they can tell me what is wrong and what i need to do , so if anyone here has ebuddy beta on there Samsung E900 please do let me know thanks(Y)
Sorry I don't have a Samsung and I'm not on T-Mobile so I can't help at all. Your best bet would be to try contacting eBuddy, Samsung and T-Mobile.

Right i worked out the problem , browser settings were not same as the older version of ebuddy so i saved the same one for ebuddy beta and it did not disconnect me until i did my self :d so far so good and thanks for the help mate (Y)(Y)
I have the 2.0 version on my psp, and I was wondering how i can change the default icon, so that when ppl on a pc view it, they can see an icon of my choice.
