Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

hallo. im having a problem with WLM at the moment. whenever i start it up it instantly minimizes itself to the tray, and then exits entirely if i click the icon. ive tried reinstalling but that hasnt worked. anyone know what i need to do?

some extra information...

WLM version: 8.5
OS: vista home premium
Havent installed Messenger Plus or any other addons

Does the program show an error message, such as the Windows "Program Not Responding" dialog at any point?

How long has this been happening? / Did just install 8.5 and it started happening? / Did you upgrade from a previous version?

Please try and include as much information as possible

ive never recieved a dialog box so far. the program just spontaneously closes as i open it.

i cant remember exactly how long it has been happening but i know it has been a few weeks now. i havent installed any addons or updated messenger recentley either so that isnt causing it.

thats all i can think of at the moment.

I am having the same problem ..only my windows live version 8.1 and 8.5 both say

"Program Not Responding" and then I have had to close it down ...a couple of times I have even had to reboot my puter ..

I am running

Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit ...

Make sure you have the latest version of Flash Player installed.

When you say "8.1 and 8.5 both say ..." I presume you don't have both installed at the same time?
